Everyone has a different way to cope with quarantine.
Some pick up a new hobby, some get chores done, and some take up all the bandwidth by streaming Tiger King all day long (and yes, she did it).
When looking at Google searches during this time, we can see clear trends of boredom, uncertainty, and curiosity.
For example, searches like “will there be a recession” paints a very different picture than searches about learning how to play an instrument or keeping kids busy.
Some seem obvious, and some are complete surprises to me.
Either way, however you choose to get through and make sure you’re healthy, do it.
Now, to Business Owners:
Google is still an algorithm. Feed it positive signals and it will reward you, even if people’s behaviors are temporarily different. Now, I would never advocate spending money on SEO if you’re taking food off your family’s table. However, if you’re in the position to do so, investing in SEO right now can help you when things start clearing up. When many businesses are pulling back and clinging to cash, some are innovating, taking advantage of this time, and getting creative.
We’ll make it through.
Stay safe and healthy!
